Summit Title Company was created by Ray Lacy in 1999 out of 25 years of experience in real estate transactions as a developer, legal counsel for buyers and borrowers, and advisor to financial institutions and real estate companies.  He determined that there was a need for a tightly controlled title company and escrow agency which would be available to various parties involved in real estate transactions throughout Tennessee.  An established network of attorneys existed so that transactions could be handled throughout the state, regardless of county.  Rigid intraoffice procedures and policies as well as documentation for residential and commercial closings were created, edited and employed to assure smooth and error-free closings at a reasonable cost.
